dicor sealer question

This morning, I applied fresh Dicor lap sealant around one of my vent pipes on the roof of my travel trailer. Now, about 10 hours later, the rubber roof around the edge of the dicor has puffed up. Why would this happen and do I need to do anything about it? Thanks.

  • I have a TPO roof and was told that Dicor lap sealant would pucker the roof, but it wouldn't cause a problem. It was ok to use. I used it, it puckered the roof, but I haven't had any problems - no leaks. It's been a year since I used it.

Some rubber and TPO roofs are sensitive to Dicor. The roofing should go down once the solvents evaporate. Also read the Dicor instruction on the tube that your purchased.
