I hope your TT tires aren't ST tires since at those sustained speeds you might have compromised them to the point that a catastrophic failure is much more likely now and the resulting damage can be quite expensive.

Thing towed without any swaying about...I will be interested to see the actual tongue weight...if it is too high by a small bit, can I add to fresh water tank just a bit to transfer weight (since I have some to spare)? For a white hawk, which is a ultra lite trailer, there shouldn't be major trouble with a F150.

Usually 10-12$ + a buck or two for each re-weigh.

I usually go in and talk to the operator first.

Pull-off after each weigh. Drop your trailer or make your WDH adjustments in the parking lot, then get in line and pull back on for the next weigh.

Just curious, where do folks' find a scales that will let you weigh each axle, hitch, unhitch, weigh, rehitch, etc.

Every time I have ever pulled across a scale, it was at a gravel pit, and the scale house operator simply wanted me to drive over it and then get the hell out of the way of the commercial trucks.

You guys with your "weigh everything in every scenario" need to tell me where you go to find such a laid back scale operator.

The numbers don't quite make sense and I would suggest a re-weigh and clarification of what was included in weighings. It might help to post just the numbers that appear on the scale tickets and let forum members decipher them.

1. The truck alone should include a full tank of fuel (done) and DW along with any pets, kids and any and all camping gear you would take for a camping trip plus the spring bars.

2. Truck and trailer to be weighed with WDH engaged and DW, pets, gear etc. in truck as above. The trailer must be loaded with anything and everything you would normally have for a camping trip (sewer stuff, BBQ, chocks, full tanks of propane, clothes, food, dishes, etc, etc.). Unclear on this one. Want steer and drive axle weights and TT axle weight.

3. Truck and TT with WDH dis-engaged and spring bars in truck plus everything in TT as in #2. Want steer and drive axle weights and TT axle weight. Unclear on this one too.

The data indicates gross weight of the TT is 7870 lbs. The listed GVWR of the Jayco is 8500 lbs. Whatever was loaded into the TT at the time of the weighing indicates that there is 630 lbs of CC remaining. If towing with a full tank of fresh water, there'd be little CC left so it may be wise to keep an eye on the gross weight over time so that the TT is not overloaded. If the TT wasn't fully loaded for camping, that would worry me.

The data indicates that the tongue wt. *might* be well over 1,000 lbs (1290??) but the info. is confusing and unclear. If the tongue wt. is near the upper range of typical tongue weight of 15% (our is around 14.5%), that could be close to 1200 lbs. It is possible that the tongue wt. is well over 1K lbs. Beside payload rating, there is also the concern of the receiver rating.

Nope, that's 900 lbs of distributed weight to the truck axles. Tongue weight will be more.

Considering many setups (with WDH own weight considered) have 80% of tongue weight distributed to truck axles and 20% distributed to trailer axles, that tongue weight would be 1125 lbs, way over the hitches rated 1050 lbs limit. Definitely not safe.

OP needs to get hitch scale to weigh the tongue weight to see what it actually is.
