There has been very few Carlisle Complaints since the addition of the nylon cap. And yes -after 5 years you are taking your chances. Also, I have to agree with another poster saying most tires problems are caused by excessive speed. I have first hand knowledge of seeing at least 70% of trailers exceeding 65mph when I traveled around the country. I ran China bombs from California to Utah to Florida with no issues. I replaced OEM tires (due to dry rot -I don't cover my tires) in Florida with Carlisle Radial Trail RH tires and ran those up to Maine and back out to Utah with zero issues. They are currently still on the trailer.
