? It's the turbo that helps at altitude, not gas or diesel.

All the Ford Ecoboost line of gas engines have turbos and work well at altitude.
The 3.5L EcoB that's available in HD Payload trucks does not have the low rpm torque that the 5L Cummins has, nor does it have an effective engine brake. But otherwise is a competent performer in the "Heavy-half" country. Probably a lot cheaper too, but for that we'll have to wait and see.
Yeah, I have a 2011 Eco. Payload is only 1600-ish and that's not enough for me. It also overheats when towing heavy in high ambient temps. It's just not the right truck for the job I do. I don't want to have to special order an HD F150 to get what I want. So either a 3/4t or a Titan. Wish there was a 2500 with a smaller diesel. I don't need 800 lb/ft of torque.
