Oh, thank you for the clarification, I understand now. I made the point that, at least with the Ford trucks, the gas trucks had lower gears. The way I read responses though, it doesn't matter, because where you drive on the freeway (slow lane or fast lane) is based on what type of fuel the truck uses, regardless of "actual" torque at the rear wheels, and that a diesel will always be passing a gas truck and not the other way around :)
