OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

Thanks. The Cruisers weigh about 9000 pounds with a carrying capacity of about 2500 pounds, and a hitch of 1500. That totals about 13,0000 pounds. I like our local dealer, Best RV, and it sells Cruisers.
I was checking prices at Edmunds.com last night and noticed that there is very little price difference between comparably equipped crewcab long bed Dodge 2500's and the 3500 dually. I had thought the 3500 dually cost about 30% more than a 2500. Edmund's says it is more like 5-6%. Given that we intend to get a bigger 5th wheel when we retire, and use it for 3-4 months each year instead of 5-6 weeks before retirement, it would make sense to get the 3500 dually now. I was wondering about gas vs. diesel when the diesel would be a 2500, but it's no contest if there is little price difference between a 2500 and a 3500.
Is there really so little price difference between comparable Ram 2500's and 3500's?
