hello
I am still new to the rv world...my first rv...went full time...2004 newmar dutch star 38ft. diesel pusher 370 cummins ISL.
I did my asking too...gas or diesel. Of course you have to get all the reasons why gas...and why diesel and ultimately you decide what is good for your needs.
The main answer i was getting was how much riding? additional cost of diesel over the original purchase of a gas motorhome and it seemed most of the the comments i was getting had to do with mileage.
Well....there is a lot to a diesel than mileage. If i understand correctly....A diesel pusher has a stronger chassis, and then a whole lot more better and stronger components than a gas motorhome. the extra cost is not just the engine but that better chassis and much more. I do not recall all the things that come with this diesel upgrade...but do check to find out what really makes a diesel pusher as strong as they are. Good luck
