OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

There is NO comparison between a T444E/7.3psd motor and an IDI 7.3, other than displacement. IIRC there are a whopping two parts that interchange, other than that, nothing to compare.
Glad to know you are enjoying your 6.5. I put 200K on my old rig, unfortunately, I did have to put a new motor in at 103K. All I have been told, is the block went porus.... what ever that means!
