Calculating how much I would save in fuel with a diesel, I come up with about $500 a year. So, I don't think I would live long enough to recoup the investment. The diesel is a pulling machine no doubt. But, does that make up for the hard starting in winter, expensive components to replace like battery, starter etc. More oil on changes. And, the soot and stink?
