Since many, if not most, of us RV for leisure and not out of necessity, consider the price of diesel and the maintenance associated as part of the experience. I have a my truck to tow without worry and I have my Toyota Yaris to get me around efficiently. I would never recommend a new diesel truck as a daily driver as there are many issues that you can incur by doing so. To me, this isn't the Daily Driver Forum, so with that in mind, I say diesel is the way to go.
