OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

As Jarlaxle said, cost is a factor, besides you do not need it in warmer weather anyway.
#2 diesel will generally work OK until temperatures start dropping below 15 degrees F on a constant basis. Then one can still run the #2 in the tank, but had better add some anti-gel additives to it for those times when it really drops at night to 0 degrees or colder.
