No, you are not paying attention. For maximum speed on a grade HORSEPOWER is the number that matters. End of story.
And while I am pointing out your fallacies, please explain in detail EXACTLY how the axles, brakes, and frame are stronger on a diesel pickup versus a gas pickup. Be specific.
