OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

Take a stock gasser and stock diesel and spend $1K on mods and see where you get the most bang for your buck. The diesel results will be much more dramatic and measurable than the gas.
The diesel owner got to spend several thousand extra on his engine before mods. How about taking two identical trucks without engines, transmissions, and axles. Each is able to spend the same amount to install powertrains. Who wins?
How do you define winning?
