OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

Precisely. Or maybe your boat planes better with a bit more weight in the back?
If an engine is running at it's rated HP (and it's an honest rating) it can out work another engine producing less HP. That's just basic physics whether it's gas, diesel, coal or electric.
