OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

I have to believe the aux batt option is for a gasser. Never have I seen a diesel of any brand with one batt.
Been towing a 5er for 15 yrs and one alt has been enough. Option may be cheap till you have to replace one on your dime. The only reason I can see is like was said before, running a big inverter for a welder etc.
