OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

my take is any eng is only good for so many revolutions till the wear takes it's life. If I can turn my 7.3 23/2400 rpm with heavy wgt getting 11.5 mpg doing it the life and cost will be better than a 5000 rpm gasser struggling and getting 7/8 mpg.
My invitation still stands. Bring your gasser and we will both pull my trailer and compare speed, time and mpg on some steep grades. Just remember my diesel gets better milage tuned that it does stock.
And try some of the new diesels @ 400hp and 800 lb ft.
