I think most have the power to make it up but they might not like the sound of 5500rpm, because it is louder then my radio when they go past
Agree, but I still want the gassers to keep to the right on the hills so I don't have to slow down for them.
So gassers towing TT's and 5th wheels are so popular that you encounter them all summer? In all our travel over the decades, we don't see that many that we're sharing the hills with them, much less that many gassers. We do however encounter many diesel powered OTR tractor trailers doing exactly as you describe. Can be annoying. Story time does stoke the imagination though...
Not that many but when you are held up for miles it seems there's too many. On the interstate it's no issue but on miles of well traveled 2 lanes with 6/7% pulls, some as long as 9/10 miles constant it gets frustrating.
So you're in the right lane of a two lane road with with 6-7% grades doing 65mph and all those gassers pass you up until a grade where you have to pass them up yet you're stuck behind them for miles because they're reluctant to run 5500rpm? How do you know they're all gassers? Could be those 10+year old diesels groaning out a whopping 235hp at 3k rpm 30mph.:B
