Diesel vs gas......................
OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

I chose my 3500 with an 8.1 over a comparable duramax because it was $7000 less, mileage wasn't much worse, I spend a lot of time in cold climates, and don't want to worry about lock warmers, and diesel gelling, power was similar, I had a lot of co-workers with the same truck/engine combination with 300k+ miles, and I get paid mileage at work, and sometimes get free fuel (to put in my 100 gallon transfer tank). All that added up to it only making sense to get the gasser. I love diesels, just didn't need it when the 8.1 with the allison pulls my 40' trailer like a dream, and I'm much more familiar with the maintenance of gas engines.
