That includes the discount off of the new truck. Don't be fooled by the numbers game. The trade in value for the gassers is inflated too for the same reason.
I'm a GM retiree and I get the same pricing. What's nice about it is, like you say, the price is fixed...there's no numbers game to play. I just bought the 2013 Silverado in my signature last November and the GM discount was right at 10.5% off MSRP. There were also a bunch of rebates available (including $1,000 for buying a diesel). All total (GM discount + rebates) $12,500 came off the top of MSRP. THEN we started talking about my trade-in.
