OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

Diesel will not always be better.
If I had unlimited money a big block turbo gas truck would eat a diesel trucks lunch when it comes to pulling. I wouldn't care about mpg or even longevity of the engine for that matter with unlimited money.
But if you compare what the factory offers from the showroom floor the diesel does have better pulling power. Not near as much as many on here would lead you to believe but an advantage none the less. But you do pay for it. That doesn't make the diesel a better or worse choice but when it comes to pulling power it does have the advantage.
