I have had both but I'm going back to diesel. One main reason is refueling. Gas pumps are on a right angle to the station in modern gas stations and when towing unless you can go around the station to the end up at the end pump pump cutting the corner is difficult; sometimes impossible. Generally the diesel pump is located so a tow vehicle can get in. Eight MPG v Fourteen MPG is a big point too. Once moving I don't like to stop until I get "there" so the increased range per fuel up minimizes them.
