If you are looking to save money on gas, Wal-Mart has a big offer for you in nearly 20 states.
The mega-retailer has a discount of 15 cents per gallon all summer long through Sept. 8. It’s available at any Wal-Mart gas station if you use a Wal-Mart money card or credit card or a Bluebird card. (A 10 cent/gallon discount applies if you want to use a Wal-Mart gift card instead.)
Georgia is one of several participating states. Others are Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
To find a participating store near you, search by ZIP code on WalMart.com.
Florida, Oklahoma and Minnesota are participating states, but the discount is not 10 cents or 15 cents in those states for an unfortunate reason. Laws in these states restrict the discount, so Florida residents can only get 5 cents off per gallon and those in Minnesota and Oklahoma only get 3 cents off.
