OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

Well...if I wanted screaming fast..I too would go gas..but that is not the issue as being quickest..says nadda about longetivity or torque.
Let's try a different test : same 3 competitors - same load, but a 35 mile 6-7% grade. And let's do that 10-15 times...now you have usable data.
You want to pull a +10,000lb RV?..get a 3500 diesel dually, you will rue the day you bought otherwise.
I pull thru the Canadian Rockies.. and have a bit of experience with both gas powered and diesel powered tow vehicles.
