Who here has lost an engine due to running it in it's normal operating rpm range?
I have seen many lifters drop prematurely (100,000 miles and under). Bad maintenance? I don't think so. All were maintained good. All of these motors were worked very hard though pulling trailers that were heavy. On a side note though, I have never seen a stock engine lose it's rolling assembly under normal conditions.
