There's the difference....towing capacity seems like a big deal to the Dealer that wants to sell a truck. 7.5 VS 10mpg at worst is a 35% increase on fuel costs...using a gas drive. And I would argue that, yes a diesel does have a bit higher maintenance costs...but if ya do it right (By-Pass oil fil - Extra Fuel filtration, it will outlast a gasser in longetivity & give significantly better mileage hands down.
I concern my self with 5th wheel pin Weight, GVWR and whether I can safely hook up without going over my rear axle GVWR & Tire rating....I know the motor can handle pulling up to 20k....its the suspension n rubber capability that's important to me...just sayin..
