- downtheroadExplorerOur local Goodyear store and most others I have ever seen are not conducive to getting our trailer into and out of for tire service....
On the other hand Discount Tire are set up for trailers, large trucks etc.
We use Discount....easier to get into and out of and they sell lots of brands. - ken56ExplorerI have purchased my tires from Discount tires since I was 20 years old, has to be a few dozen sets by now. Can't say I have ever been let down or had a bad experience with them. They helped me make decisions at times on what brand would be best for my needs. Always professional service.
- rbpruExplorer IIIn spite of the "I heard this or that". The question is no different that choosing tires for your car or truck. Which would you want your family riding on?
The biggest change in TT tires are the increased speed rating of a couple of models.
The GY Endurance claims an all new approach to the TT market. Ozone resistant compounds, improved treads designs for better towing mileage, higher speed rating.
Hype or worth the money? - garysolExplorer

Goodyear is going to sell you a Goodyear tire. Discount Tire will sell you anything or almost any brand.
I should have mentioned Goodyear Endurance 225/75 15 at both a Goodyear and Discount. $110 per tire and $13 per wheel labor.... - Dave5143ExplorerI've been using Discount Tire for all my tire needs. The local store is popular with customers so they get pretty busy sometimes. Their service is second to none and I hope they stay that way. The only problems I've experienced is when they put rubber valve stems on my trailer tires when they should have used metal ones because of the additional stress the TPMS senders put on the stems. I'll go back to them in a couple of weeks to replace the old worn out Maxxis tires with new ones. I'll make sure they use metal stems this time.
- westendExplorerThe biggest difference, if you want a trailer tire balanced, will be who has the right arbor to use on the balancing machine. I bought Carlisles at Discount and they did have the arbor for my wheels.
- Ron3rdExplorer IIIAlso, Discount Tire WILL MATCH PRICES FROM ANYBODY.
The new Carlisle Radial Trail TT tire (in the load range and size I wanted) lists for about $100.00 to $109.00 everywhere, even Discount Tire. I went shopping online and found them at Walmart.com for $67.00 per tire with free shipping to my store down the street. Big difference. I walked into Discount Tire, handed them the printout from the Walmart site and asked if he would match the price. He BEAT the price by $1.00 and gave them to me for $66.00 each. No questions asked, no haggling.
There's something about the superior training at that company that I have not seen elsewhere. I always receive outstanding service with a great attitude. - Ron3rdExplorer IIIAlso, Discount Tire WILL MATCH PRICES FROM ANYBODY.

All they do is Sell, mount and balance tires.
They don't do brakes, shocks, alignment, etc, so there's no incentive to sell you any other services.
You'll never beat their service either. - bobndotExplorer III just went to GY today for an order, TT and car. I'm a card holder so I got double rebates. Today they also did not charge me to mount/balance them and installed the high pressure valves.
The tire dates are brand new, don't know if that would be an issue elsewhere.
