Do you leave your diesel running ...?
I see many diesel drivers who leave the engine running while fueling (or other short-term occasions). For a while, I asked why they did that, just to see what their reason was. Never got the same answ...

I have, only once or twice in my 80-ish fuel ups let it running. I can't remember why, but maybe to keep the heat running for my children inside. Idling uses fuel that does not move the vehicle. There are mainly convenience reasons to keep it running at idle.
