Do you leave your diesel running ...?
I see many diesel drivers who leave the engine running while fueling (or other short-term occasions). For a while, I asked why they did that, just to see what their reason was. Never got the same answ...

I turn mine off at McDonald's drive through's so the employee can hear me speak over the sound of the diesel engine through the speakers and not be drowned out by the sound of the diesel.
At fuel pumps, I sometimes leave it running, if it's cold or hot and someone is inside the cab. Otherwise I turn it off. When I do leave it running, it's to keep the cab inside at a livable temperature. And yes ... sometimes I leave it running because my dog is in there too!
