Do you leave your diesel running ...?
I see many diesel drivers who leave the engine running while fueling (or other short-term occasions). For a while, I asked why they did that, just to see what their reason was. Never got the same answ...

A lot of the time yes, but too often the temp is still up. When my EGT hits 300 degrees, then I shut down.
My thought as well. Campgrounds generally are enough to cool, but fuel stations rarely are IME.
Based on his sig he doesn't even have a diesel....or a dodge.
