So I found a good deal on a 1997 dodge V-10 2500. It is the same as my truck, only it is an SLT model and has an automatic instead of a 5 speed. The truck has 131,000 miles. Are there any real issue...

I had a dodge 2500 V-10 and then a 2001 8.1 chev 3500 2wd dually. The power seemed to be similar but the trannie was better because of the 5 speed Alison. The dodge had very poor brakes and it scared me several times plus it liked the dodge garage more than my garage so at 14K miles I sold it. The brakes really did make it a poor truck but the rest of the truck wasn't so bad and the man that bought it still drives it.
