Well other than have the wrong Bars(800lb) how does my set up look? I'm calling rv dealer tomorrow and having him get me 1200lb bars and dual cam system. I have one friction sway bar now and was thinking of adding one to the other side but after obsessing about this for the last 24 hours I think it's the only way to go. I really cant stress how impressed I am with this truck. There is NO comparison to any other 1/2 ton ive ever owned. 2014 f150 supercrew 3.5 v6 ecoboost Max tow 4x4 145wb 1864 payload. I have yet to hit a CAT scale but I will be doing that soon and posting numbers. I'd also like to thank all of you for the wealth of information here it's been a great deal of help.

No it don't look right, wrong kind of truck :B..... Just kidding, trying to keep up with the other thread's lately :W Looks great to me but from reading your other thread the TT gang really chimed in and it sounded like you needed bigger rated bars.If your not swaying in the wind, I'd tow it as is myself if your not overloaded which your CAT scale will tell you. Now others would tow it anyway being over weight and all, just saying. Again looks great, enjoy!

Yes, it looks level on both the truck and trailer. You might want to take some measurements just to be sure. Just let me know if you need a description on measuring truck to ensure its level when hooked up.

It does look good unscientifically. You can add the dual cam kit to your current system, but I'd get 1200 pound bars too.

Looks good to me. If anything I like to have a little bit of tilt to the front for a conventional trailer.

I am well within the ratings of what the truck can handle my original post was geared more toward hitch set up I'm loosing the friction sway and going with the dual cam even with this set up it pulls great it's just not perfect and I will settle for no less

Towing capacity and payload capacity are two entirely different numbers, but the RV salesmen do not want to talk about that. I'm also amazed at the people who come on here and post about their trailer and 1/2 ton truck and then ask, after the fact, if it will work.

I beg to differ, I towed it with my F150 for 2000km's over 3 trips, Simply too much for a 7700gvwr F150, I think the frontal area and total length was really pushing what that platform can handle for a bumper pull. My particular truck had LT tires and airbags as well. Went to the scales and even with the WD properly setup, I was still 200lbs over the rear axle's GAWR and the reason why I decided to move on up to a SD.

Most F150 guy's won't admit to being overweight when they are because that fantastic EB/3.73 drivetrain will pull just about anything damn well - it's really the platform that was not heavy enough imo.

From the pic as mentioned, it looks pretty darn good!

But I have a question I am surprised hasn't been asked yet. It looks like you have trunnion bars, correct? If so, it looks like you do not have enough head tilt for sharp turns since it looks like you have a top mounted coupler. Though this is very hard to tell from the pic.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but if the GVWR of the TT is 7900# and it's loaded to say 7000#; if the optimal hitch weight is 13-15% of the TT weight, that would be 900-1100# (give or take) plus what ever is loaded behind the rear axle in the bed. Wouldn't he be WAY over the capacity of the 800# bars?
