Here is a way to by-pass and make the slide or jacks work;
Take a 12v hot lead and route it, at the control board under the step where the batteries are, to the slide out or jack connection. Touching the hot lead to one of the wires makes the slide/jack go in and touching the hot lead to the other wire in the connection makes the slide/jack go out. It's that simple to bypass. Also, of course, the slide and jack can be cranked by hand using the handles that come with the camper in an emergency.
