Lol!!
Post of the week! I'm gonna use this line on the next guy I meet bragging about his ______diesel. - goducks10ExplorerMy monies on the GM to win the next Ike test. GM somehow seems to engineer their diesels to perform. Even with less power GM still won several hill climbs. Now that they have basically the same power as Ford they should be king of the hill.
GM just made towing even easier. - BedlamModeratorBack to the DA program: I'd like to see some Class 4 & 5 trucks being powered by this combination. More competition will make these classes even better if GM hops back in.

I suppose you are right, but if I need to tow over 17K on a regular basis my truck will likely have dual wheels and air brakes! ;)
Hook up to a 17K 5th wheel with a 2500 RAM and you will be over the GVWR and Rear GAWR. With our 3500 we are maxing the truck out with a 16K 5th wheel.
RAM has separated the 2500 from the 3500 by putting coil springs on the 2500.
Chris - alaska315ExplorerWhy if I may ask,do you feel the need for the added expense and isssues with air brakes for a 17K pound load on a regular basis?.I did it for years with my dually dodge with cummins and manual transmission with an exhaust brake and ran thru out the NW and mountain states with no issues.
Certainly not "dogging" your choices, just curious. Me Again wrote:

As you said FishOnOne,not to mention the emissions and the payment,LOL - ksssExplorerThis should be quite a show going up Ike with the Ford and GM trucks making this kind of hp/torque. I hope that GM has kept with their philosophy of out working their engine specs.
