So you bought a 3/4 ton truck with perhaps a 2,500 pound cargo rating, and plan on buying a fifth wheel soon. Installing a 200 pound hitch, then add 300 pounds of passengers and haul a fifth wheel less than 10,000 pounds with a 2,000 pound hitch weight all over the country. I guess it will be one of those super light 27 foot long models?
I think he bought a 339 as I do not see a 337. 12,600 GVWR and 36'10" and should have gotten a 3500!

As others have stated going to Spokane in January is iffy. Going East from there is really iffy.
If weather is good then I would take 97 up the central part of Oregon.

Well Chris hind sight is 20/20, and I am sure the RV dealer told him you have a diesel HD you can tow anything on the lot!
The truths is YES he can Carry and Tow that trailer with a new 2500, it might have air ride so it will be level!
Yes, MOST LIKELY over GVWR, Likely UNDER Axle and Tire for the TV the 5er, well discussed in an earlier post.
That 5er's GVWR is only 300# more than my 2005 Copper Canyon, and I tow and CARRY it just fine with my 2001 Ram 2500 with Camper package. Am I over GVWR, for sure, but still within the wimpy 6,084# stock axle rating, and well with in the tire rating as the camper package came with 265/75-16 E's rated at 3,415# ea. Unless he has stock 245/70-17E's he will have more tire capacity than me.
Recommended, No way will it likely work most likely, TV is not going to fall apart.
Winter driving depends on the skill and experience of the driver, I will drive through snow to go camping (yes, I have limits) but normal snow on a pass keep on trucking. This depends on caution and towing skills.
