Thank you to everyone who took the time to read my post.And also appreciate everyone's advice.Yes I agree it is quite a trip for a newbie.Another option is to leave the 5th wheel in Southern California while we drive W/o trailer to Spokane to attend a family wedding. As far as weight issues I just spoke again with RV dealer who is assuring me that the 2500 Ram with a 16k Reese hitch properly aligned and leveled will be fine to tow the 339 flqs that has a unloaded weight of 10,400 lbs. The truck is rated for 15k lbs.will keep you all posted.
