Did it last year in Jan all way up to BC . We planned ahead with the weather & stayed ahead of storms .Actually left from my place in Ontario at 1:30am just to beat a snowstorm that was coming through. Compared to the N. East it was fairly tame weather. Hit the bad stuff on the return through Indiana and back up to Ontario, stayed at hotels for a few nights at that point. So it can be done but we have a fair amount of experience and did several months of shakedown cruises and camping to get the bugs worked out of the new rig we got in Aug. . For at total newbee with a new rig just of the lot I would not recommend it .
