Some are rather noisy, like our UltraFab. There is a fairly quiet one but can't remember the brand (Husky maybe?). Weight capacity isn't usually a concern as tongue weight is approx. in the 500 - 1200 lb range. Would be nice if our jack was faster but I don't know if any are. The UltraFab head is fairly compact.The switches on the Atwood don't look very waterproof. We use a hood on ours and never take it off. Keeps the water off and it still looks like new after 2 years of use.I can't remember the brand that came on our TT we bought brand new, but it failed within a few days and got replaced by the UltraFab. Pick any name brand rated at 3500 or higher you can get for the best price. I mean dang you're going to run it maybe 30 seconds to a minute? All the major brands stand behind the product well even after warranty period.

We are happy with our Barker 3500 tongue jack. For some weight capacity isn't an issue, in our case we just don't lift our tongue weight but the entire rear of our truck (WD bar installation/removal) which is very heavily loaded. A lesser rated power jack is not worth paying for only to find it lacking in performance and worn out in a couple of years. Our Barker 3500 is still going strong after nine years.

If you want to make an early getaway before the end of a CG quiet time, you may end up with some very irate neighbors. I only know because it happened to us once. And only once because I'd never do that again. :E Our electric stab. jacks and awning are also noisy. There are some quiet jacks and I have no idea how to find them except for reading user reviews or posts on this forum. Depending on the site, you could always hook up the night before.And seeing an above post, I forgot you need to consider the weight of the rear of the truck when you're lifting the tongue. Depends on the truck, what's in it and the particular WDH.

Those fast flips don't really save you THAT much of set up time. Also, they're not recommenced for use on hills,due to the fact that the swivel joint (elbow) could fold up if your not properly chocked. They advise to just bend it at the elbow and set that down on a piece of wood. like if your kneeling.

The RV place had three on display and the Bulldog looked stout and was quiet so I bought it. After using it a few times I am really glad I have it. Note this has a plastic housing so I will keep it covered with a breathable cover to keep UV off of it.

The head is not compact but allows mounting at 90 degrees if you want.

I have a 4500 lbs Husky on my toy hauler and it's not noisy at all, way less then an engine idling. The jack is way slower than any crank jack I have ever used. Only reason I put one on the toy hauler is the thing is so tongue heavy that it took 2 hands to crank the jack and I got tired of getting my workout messing with it. The 4500 lbs jack has no problems lifting the trailer and the back of the truck up. My tailgate wouldn't open with the crank jack so it didn't matter to me either way.

I didn't mention before but yes the Atwood motor is top mounted out of the way of the tailgate. Amazon has a very good price on them Amazon Atwood Jack.

I like the compact head and the noise is reassuring. I enjoy motors that actually work.

I really dislike jet engines that go suddenly quiet.

Top mounted motor could still interfere, my tailgate just clears the shaft of my current manual side crank and these motors seem to protrude out a couple of inches at least. If I have the crank handle down the tailgate will hit the handle. From what I can tell most of these e-jacks tend to be fairly tall which may allow it to clear the arc of the tailgate.

My main concern at this point is noise, like I noted above I'm likely to wait until I can see some of these in person and hear them operating.

The motor won't interfere. It is possible the shaft may... But if it is that tight, then it would hit the shaft of any jack.

I have the Atwwod 4K with the Robo foot. The jack can be extended with the robofoot folded under. You just need to put at least a 1x4 under it so the lip of the foot isn't digging in the ground. It is a good strong jack with a clutch that will prevent damage from overextending. I have mixed feelings about the robofoot but it comes off easily and can be used without it if you wish.
