Ford, FCA, and GM all offer employee discounts which are a part of the UAW contract. The employee price is printed on the actual invoice to the dealer and the dealer is paid a stipend to sell the vehicle to the employee at this price minus any incentives currently in place including dealer cash and consumer cash. In addition there are other discount prices offered by the manufacturers such as Friends and Family, supplier discounts, etc. Employee prices are also made available for the employee to pass on to immediate family.
A properly executed employee price deal is the lowest possible price one will pay for a vehicle. Some dealers will occasionally sell to the public at prices lower than the employee price by subtracting a portion of current incentives to lower the price to the printed employee price. In actuality this price will not be equivalent to the then current employee price because the consumer does not receive the entire incentive as an employee would.
Dealer's often take advantage of this possibility and the consumer is not in fact receiving the current actual employee price as represented.

Can't say anything about FCA or GM but FORD does not have "Employee pricing" on the window sticker, period.
From what I can tell everything you have posted is most likely BS..
You can find better info HERE on the Ford X plan..
Synopsis from the website above..
A-PLAN PIN
Provides the best price on any of the Ford family of brands to eligible employee family members, including grandparents of both the employee and the spouse
Z-PLAN PIN
Is identical of the A-PLAN, but provides the best price on any of the Ford family of brands to eligible retired employee family members instead of active employees.
X-PLAN
Extends discount pricing to friends and neighbors of employees as well as Ford supplies and other business partners (through the Partnership Recognition Program). Businesses are eligible for the X-Plan by contacting AZX Plan Program Headquarters and providing an X-Plan PIN for a vehicle titled in the company's name.
D-PLAN PIN
Applies to dealer employees and their family members.
Ford dealers do not "cut" incentives if you are a member of any of the Ford plans.. In fact you are eligible FOR ALL PRIVATE AND PUBLIC INCENTIVES, DISCOUNTS, REBATES.
It is optional for the dealers to participate in the plans but they are encouraged to do so.
Yes, it is possible to negotiate a slight better deal than X plan, but to me my time is more precious than spending hrs of haggling or visiting multiple dealers..
X plan is a no nonsense fixed no negotiating price, it also CAPS AND LIMITS add on dealer fees.
X plan also FREEZES the price when placing your order, this one saved me from a price increase that happened after I placed my order on one of my trucks, saved about $300 with that protection..
As a X plan member the dealer MUST SHOW YOU THE AZX PRICING SHEET!
You can get a X plan PIN several different ways..
Your employer may be a Ford Partner member, if you own enough Ford stock for 6 months you can request a X plan PIN, you can get a PIN from a Ford Employee if they have extras available, some club memberships offer X Plan PINs.
Rules are simple.
Generate a PIN.
Take PIN, your company ID badge or pay stub and go to a Ford Dealer.
Critical step, first contact with dealer you MUST identify that you are a X plan member UPFRONT. Failure to do this step the dealer will not honor your X plan price.
Dealer will ask for your PIN and may request ID to establish your are a X plan member..
Choose your vehicle then drive away happy :B
Here is some more details on how it works..
X Plan Program Details
Just do be aware, the dealer has NO ROOM TO DEAL ON A TRADE IN.. So if you are planning to trade a vehicle in with the deal they are only able to offer WHOLESALE PRICES on trades.
Your best bet is to sell your old vehicle YOUR SELF instead of trading with the dealer.
