I had a 2013 ecoboost with a 5 Star tune and Wagner intercooler that was a beast! I would tow everything including 15000 lbs of hay.
I got a 2016 ecoboost and after one trip to Colorado towing only 7k lbs am buying a new Super Duty. Going through NM with temperature 100+ the pcm was pulling 3 degrees of timing because IAT2 was so high! This robbed me of a lot of power. This is Ford's fault for putting in such a small intercooler. They did help to solve the condensation problem which it does help with because now the air is hotter. The downfall is for those that tow, the hot air just saps you of power!
I have towed my Reflection 29rs twice. It weighs about 10k lbs. I wasn't really impressed as it downshifts way more than my 13 did. This is partially because I have a 3.55 instead of 3.73 as in my previous truck but also due to the intercooler.
