You bought a $50,000 truck just to get better fuel mileage instead of just going on craigslist and buying a econo box to get to work?
Exaggerate much?
Around my neck of the woods a buyer could get a new F350 PSD for $50K, me thinks that a new "Ecoboost" F150 can be had for < $30K.
(if not much less than that, I did not bother looking)
It's been just shy of ten years since I bought a truck, but that number still seems a bit low to me.
Direct from Fords website:
2015 F150
MSRP1 Range
$25,420 - $50,960
Seating for
three - six
Tow up to
12200 lbs3
So I guess you could spend +$50K on a new F150 if you really really wanted to.
(personally I'd rather spend ~$36K on a gas powered F350 but to each their own. I suppose there are people who spend MSRP and over on a new truck)
I buy what I like, you buy what you like. I paid 31k even. If a person were to do their research they could see about what I paid.
