F150 and a Camplite 6.8

Well guys I have an 02 chevy Silverado reg. cab and a northern lite camper (1450)lb dry weight, upgraded springs, shocks, and brakes been on a few 2000 and 3000 mile trips, plan on a cross country next summer, truck handles great pulling mountains, high winds, and snow. I wish I had the money to throw at a 3/4 ton truck but I don't so I made do by the upgrades. My weight is 1940kgs on the rear axle, no water though in the camper, I figure if I dump the jack stands I should have no problem putting the water in and being able to carry it. He should have no problem with that camper if he just does the springs or air bags, I didn't like the brakeing that's why I did the brakes now it stops on a dime love it, truck only has 60,000 miles though so I figure another year with it anyway

I'm in the same situation. i have a 2014 Chevy 1500 Z71. I went to Ohio to buy a palomino 6601 that, per the website, was suited for 1/2 trucks. The guy at the dealer informed me that it was to heavy for my truck. I also am curious to see how the air bags helped with your truck. Good Luck

I really like the floor plan of the Travel Lite, 770 Super Lite. I've got a dealer checking with Livin' Lite, he thinks that he could sell several units with this lay out. Hopefully the powers to be will see the way that he and I do!

I just took delivery of a '15, F150, crew-cab short bed. The plan is to have a 6.8C, built to spec, and add air bags to the truck. Have not worked out the details, would like to sell my VRV26FB, first but not going to let it slow things down.

Way to go man, hope you are or had a good ride home. I also have a 2013 FX4 Ecobeast 6.5 & 7200gvw, except I got an EC. I plan on on installing a pop-up TC on it when time is right & I find the right one for the Florida backwoods and swamps.

Around my neck of the woods a buyer could get a new F350 PSD for $50K, me thinks that a new "Ecoboost" F150 can be had for < $30K.
(if not much less than that, I did not bother looking)

It's been just shy of ten years since I bought a truck, but that number still seems a bit low to me.
