The truck in my signature should have the same axle ratio as the HD payload. I formerly pulled a trailer that was almost 33' long, but not much over 6K lbs. It pulled it effortlessly as it does our current TT. The only thing I didn't like was 30 mph crosswinds with the long trailer. A different sway control, such as the Equalizer, might help in that department. Otherwise I love the truck! It normally gets about 9-10 mpg when towing and can be babied empty to get 21 mpg on the highway at 55, but who drives that way? More normal highway mileage is around 18 mpg. 41K mile mpg average is 14.9, which includes about 8K of towing.
