And a rear GAWR of 4800#, just like the 2011-2015 HD Payloads.
Guess those 6 lug HD wheels and LT-C tires can handle it.
It also has the Ford's new trailer backup knobby "PRO TRAILER BACKUP ASSIST".
But not much of a discount yet. Maybe later in the summer just before the 2017s appear. Hanna Motors can get pretty aggressive in its pricing.
Good point on the small 4800 RAWR carrying a 2900 lb payload. That means the truck rear axle has to weigh just 1900 lbs.
Another point is There is no F150 that can handle a 2900 lb payload in the bed. Doing so will overload the trucks 4800 RAWR/rear suspension/wheels.
The F150 4800 RAWR can carry up to around 2400-2500 in the bed over the rear axle.
I don't think I follow. You are saying you can't put 2,900 lbs in a truck with a yellow sticker that says 2,900 lbs?
It's reasonable to expect a 2015 up regular cab F-150 long bed to have very little weight on the rear axle. A fully loaded crew cab lariat 4x4 tips the scales at 4700-4900 lbs, assuming a 60/40 weight distribution, you get 1900 lbs. at rear and 2900 on the front. Some smaller trucks can be closer to 65/35 weight distribution I believe. So seems to me 2900 lbs. capacity is possible, but only on the lightest of the HD F-150's.
