I feel sorry for your Tahoe.
Any 2013 model half ton will feel stronger because of 6/8-spd trans. If power is your concern, any new half ton with more powerful motor/shorter gearing will feel vastly better.
However 7k dry means 8k+ loaded, 1000 pounds of TW. If you like to have all the fancy equipment of an LTZ in your next TV, then it will likely have less than 1500 pounds of payload, 1100-1300 is more typical of well equipped crew cabs. If you can afford a 3/4 ton, any current on gasser will be much better and a diesel will be outstanding. But the Ecoboost will also tow it very well, in 5th or 6th gear with 3.73 at 65mph. Just find/order a max towing or HD paylaod equipped one.
