Fastec Industrial locks (Recall)

Received mine today. It has been so long waiting I didn't even remember I was waiting on them. It looks like an easy swap out.

There were 2.8 million recalled. It may take a while yet to replace all of them.

That is what I have. Bet there are a lot of these being recalled.

After six months of waiting for my replacement cylinders I called them (finally got through) and they agreed it was a long time to wait and sent replacements. They sent two: one for the dead bolt and one for the regular lock. The dead bolt cylinder came out as instructed, but the other one refused to come out. I followed the instructions but had no luck. I called them but they said I should be with the trailer when I call (my work hours coincide with theirs). Anyone else have any issues with getting the old cylinders out?

About a year ago I submitted my claim (via phone) and had replacement locks in about a weeks time.....had you ever checked with the company about the claim????

Good luck with the recall and receiving the parts you need from Fastec. In a couple of months it will be a year since I submitted my claim and I still have received nothing from Fastec. It really doesn't matter to me now because I bought new lock sets to replace the bad ones.

Think that recall has been going on for couple of years. Apparently people were pulling the key out at 9 O'clock position and jaming lock. I'd certainly check out numbers and with the door open see if key comes out. Always a chance a few locks still on the market.
