- colliehaulerExplorer IIIWhile I don't currently own a Ram and recalls are annoying at least they are fixing the problem. No brand is immune to recalls. I just got a recall (again) for my 99 Ford truck cruise control fuse.
Merry Christmas to all. - thomasmnileExplorer

We get that, but do you have to be a &#%$ all the time about it and get go out of your way to get your jabs in? It is the Holiday season for Pete's sake.
I enjoy it all, and take none of it seriously. It's a mechanical device, not Mother, Apple Pie, or Manhood. Fish loves the Blue Oval. I daresay any owner of any brand of HD truck is almost cult like in their worship of 'their' brand. All I want for Christmas is FCA to replace the passenger airbag in my '05 Ram that I've spent nearly a year trying to do. It's always, 'we're out of them', even when I had an appointment and was guaranteed they were in stock. My truck is OK, but hate to say it, outside of what's under the hood and the transmission, it is garbage, but it's my garbage and paid for.
Oh yeah, sorry for the mess I made here and Merry Christmas to all!! :B - ShinerBockExplorer

Your colors were shown when you bring another brand into the picture as we new you would since this isn't your first time to call in the ford trucks from the early 80's.
Last I checked this recall is for brand new hd ram trucks, but I believe the new Ford G transmission had a similar issue recently.
Well then don't post your little jabs in if you don't want to start this circle jerk. Recalls are a touchy subject for any one which is why I either don't post anything in them if it is a different brand or I will post that I hope that it gets fixed before anyone gets hurt.
People like you who make passive aggressive post on purpose to stir the pot are the main reasons why these circle jerks get started. You post a purposely placed jab, vehicle owners get defensive and jab back, you get defensive and jab back, and the whole thing just goes round and round.
We know you don't like Rams or Cummins or just about any HD trucks that is a Ford or Powerstroke. We get that, but do you have to be a &#%$ all the time about it and get go out of your way to get your jabs in? It is the Holiday season for Pete's sake.
BTW, I would say the same to Cummins24 if done the same in a Ford recall thread so don't think it is just a brand thing. It is about being considerate to other people on a touchy subject. Me Again wrote:

Given that Ford trucks have jumped into reverse and killed quite a few people, that is the Fishy one sad that he can not attack RAM on this one without pulling Ford into the issue.
NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) refers to the "Park to Reverse" issue using various terms including "Unintended Powered Roll-Away" and has opened numerous investigations of these events over the last 35 years.
Then lets pull this in!

Well we all knew you would show your colors sooner or later.

I thought you owned a Ford, not a Ram?
So why the purposely placed jab?
:B- Chuck_thehammerExplorerthe Ford problem in the 70's was inside the transmission.. parking paw...
this a electronic box failure (overheats). outside of transmission. - thomasmnileExplorerNot a new problem for FCA. I have a 2005 3500 with 'slip out of parkitis'. The fix? Open the driver door with the engine running and parking brake not set and the dash starts flashing and horn starts blasting. The actual problem wasn't fixed guess that costs too much.
