I know. I was surprised at the rating because there is no mention of a suspension upgrade on the spec sheet. It must be a "free"thing that they throw in with the V-8 option. I would never say my truck is the equal of a F-250, but Ford says it can carry 2,312 pounds. My point in all this is to tell buyers to "Open the door and check out the payload rating". You might be surprised or disappointed with what you find. There is more to buying a pickup than selecting a color and trim package. I am a guy who finds a three quarter ton a little more than I need and the average half ton a little less.
