Cool new truck. Please enjoy it, and safe travels. I am sure it will serve you well for a long time.
It's stuff like this that makes me really question where all these numbers come from.
I look at the new generation F-150s, and I see a fine vehicle. I also see very light duty front control arms, small rotors, with teeny-weeny ball joints. I also see a semi-float rear axle with a modestly sized ring gear and small diameter tubes.
Now I compare this to a typical 3/4 ton with a Dana 60 sized front axle, brakes and ball joints that is paired with a 60, 70 or 80 rear axle, and there is just no comparison at all.
So how these two vehicles can exist in the same comparative tow or payload ratings universe is beyond me.
