Is it a 1/2 ton versus 3/4 ton issue or just a newer vehicle?
My situation is opposite of yours but it is more due to a newer TV than necessarily 1/2 or 3/4 ton.
2004 Chevy 3/4 ton and now a 2015 Ford F150 both pulling a 20' cargo trailer with between 6,000 to 10,000 lbs. depending on trip. The F150 out pulls, out stops, and the cab is more comfortable. Now this being said if I were to get a 2015 F250 I might be even more impressed but no need as the F150 walks circles around the older 3/4 ton. It is amazing the new trucks and what they are capable of towing and hauling.
