They do have tow/haul function that changes the trans shift points but I don't think that includes grade braking or hill start assist. actually ALL gas vehicles have grade braking. It is called compression, and lower gears. it's just the law of physics. Of course a V6 has less braking than a V8, again physics
Diesels on the other hand. Unless there is a add on, like a exhaust brake, or tranny brake, or some other engine brake. Have no natural downhill breaking. while they run on compression, there is none on the back side. So a add on is necessary to give them the same benefits that gas engines have naturally.
