Most of what we hear about here are V6's and they don't come close to a diesel EB. Some are V8's but tthey still don't hold back like a diesel with an EB.
Most only make the mistake of having too light a tow vehicle once in life.
I would imagine a 1/2 ton gasser would hold its 10,000 lb trailer back every bit as good if not better than what a new diesel would hold its 30,000 lb trailer back.
